| Ride and Tie Competition 2010!
Madness is the description. One horse, two people, mountain trails; andit is so much fun! One person rides, one person runs, then switch.
It started with my first go of 12 miles in July. 95 degrees with heatindex of 105 degrees and humidity by 10am. Everything went well. Thanks to Tracy for being my teammate!
October I completed my first 30 miler. 3 mountain climbs and descents, perfect weather. After the 18 mile loop, I becameslightly ill and found out later it was a touch of the flu! The last mountain descent my knees told me they had enough, but I made it back to camp just fine. Thanks to Janice for her horse Frisky, and Levi my teammate.

_____________________________ 2008
Extravaganza with John Lyons We had an exceptional day with the Legendary John Lyons. It was held at the Shenandoah Co. Fairgrounds since it was such a major event. Approximately 850 people showed up. Door prizes, free food, & pony rides were among some of the activities.
Endurance Training Camp
2008: Our first training camp was a success! 3 Students that have been taking regular Riding Lessons braved the Great Outdoors at Fort Valley Stables. For 3 days and 2 nights, they learned Preparation, Training, & what it's like to spend long hours in the saddle. Trailer Loading/unloading, Extra care for yourself and the horse before, during, and after riding while away from home. Facing new challenges made them realize the importance of riding lesson training in safety and the practice of proper horsemanship in a controlled environment. Although tired and a few stray dogs stealing some of our food, we had a great time.
Schooling show for students:
Three students did well at their 1st show ever! Congratulations to Leanna and Lauren [sisters] for winning Championships in their divisions: Leadline and Short stirrup. The other great student, Katelyn won the Reserve Champion in Short Stirrup.
